The Holiday Blues

Anyone missing the "Holidays" yet? I feel everything from New Years to the spring is down hill. All the presents from Christmas have lost their luster (except my blazer...thanks mom!), the hangover from New Years is almost gone, and now all we have to look forward to is gray snowbanks and tax season. GREAT!

To keep that ChristmasTime feel around, its nice to keep a few holiday-ish decorations around. That's where this candle holder/wreath comes in handy. Its seasonable due to the fake pine wreath, but not full-on Christmas since the ornaments are not your typical Christmas colors. And of course, this is super easy to make.

The frame is a round candle holder (thrifted from St. Vinny's), then there is a fake pine wreath laid on top. The ornaments (also seen here on the alternative Christmas tree) are pinned in place with floral/craft pins (also used to make the Living Wreath). Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy.

My mom does this too! Even after she's taken down the rest of her Christmas decorations, she leaves up her snowmen until spring. She says that they count as "winter" decorations, not "holiday" decorations. :)
